Privacy Policy
This page explains how Airhopp collects and uses information when you use our website and booking services. This is a simple, good-faith overview for early customers and partners. It is not yet a lawyer-reviewed document and may change as we grow.
Who we are
Airhopp is an online booking platform that helps travellers and their families arrange in-airport mobility services (such as wheelchairs, carts/buggies, and escort services) provided by independent airport mobility vendors.
What information we collect
When you make a booking or contact us, we may collect:
- Name and contact details (email, phone number if provided).
- Booking details (airport, service type, date/time, flight number).
- Passenger details, including if you are booking on behalf of someone else.
- Special instructions you choose to share for mobility assistance.
- Payment status information from our payment provider (for example, paid / not paid).
- Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, and device information for security and diagnostics.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Process and manage your booking on the Airhopp platform.
- Share relevant details with the airport mobility vendor so they can deliver the service.
- Send booking confirmations and operational emails related to your trip.
- Monitor performance, reliability, and security of the platform.
- Respond to questions, feedback, or support requests.
We do not sell your personal data. Your booking details are shared only with:
- The mobility vendors involved in fulfilling your booking.
- Service providers we use to run the platform (for example, payment processors and email providers).
Payments
Payments on Airhopp are processed by trusted third-party providers, such as Stripe. In many cases, Stripe routes payment directly to the vendor’s account, while Airhopp receives a separate platform fee or commission.
Airhopp does not store your full card details on its own servers. Card information is handled by the payment provider in accordance with their security and compliance standards.
Emails and communication
We use a reputable email service provider (such as MailerSend) to send booking confirmations and operational messages. These emails may include booking details that are necessary for you and the vendor to coordinate assistance.
You may also contact us using the email address shown on your booking confirmation or on our website if you have questions about your booking or your data.
Data retention
We keep booking records and related communications for a reasonable period of time to support operations, handle questions or disputes, and meet any applicable legal or accounting requirements.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including the use of HTTPS, limiting access to operational systems, and relying on reputable providers for payments and email. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
If you would like to ask about, update, or request deletion of your data held by Airhopp, you can contact us using the email address shown on your booking confirmation or on our website. We will handle such requests in good faith, taking into account any legal or operational requirements to retain certain records.
International transfers
Because Airhopp may work with vendors and service providers in different countries, your information may be transferred across borders where data protection rules may differ from those in your home country. We aim to work with providers that take data protection seriously.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as Airhopp grows, as we add new features, or as laws change. When we make significant changes, we will update the date shown below. If you continue using the website after updates are published, it means you accept the updated policy.
